about

About CROGS LC

CROGS LC was formed in August 2009 by Bobby Croghan, Owner, in response to the passion of wanting to educate others on creating more sustainable working and living environments. With seven years in commercial interior design and environmental volunteering efforts, it was time create a company to help guide offices and home owners to lower their environmental footprint and live healthier.

Bobby believes in connection to his local community. He stays in touch through various organizations and volunteering efforts: Chair of the Residential Green Building Advocacy Committee of the USGBC National Capitol Region, Alexandria Chamber of Commerce member, Del Ray Business Association member, USGBC Company member, and Habitat for Humanity of DC & Northern Virginia volunteer.

And yes! Bobby employs many sustainable strategies in his own home: solar reflective window film, low flow shower head and faucets, bio-degradable and natural cleaning solutions, organic finish materials, energy saving techniques, organic food purchasing, green energy purchasing, and continues to evolve.

MISSION: CREATING REALISTIC OPPORTUNITIES for GOING SUSTAINABLE

CROGS LC guides businesses and homeowners in lowering their environmental footprint through strategies that will enrich their lives and surroundings.

Part of our mission includes giving back to the local community and promoting “green collar” jobs. As such, 1% of CROGS’ annual company profits will be donated to ReBuild of Alexandria, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that sells sustainable building materials and supports “green collar” jobs.

what they're saying

“I have worked with Bobby for close to five years. He is well organized and is a good Project Manager who works well with consultants. He is very interested in sustainable design and often brings new ideas and design concepts to a project. It has been a pleasure working with him over the years.”
— LEW BRODE, PE, LEED AP (GPI ENGINEERING)  JULY 15, 2009

“Bobby is a conscientious, focused team member who takes the extra initiative to research and participate, often on his own time, many aspects of sustainable design--as well as to educate all of his co-workers on all of the information he gathers. He has contributed heavily to the effort of putting our firm at the forefront of those involved in sustainability in the DC area.”

SSC Green Office Audit

CROGS LC utilizes the standards for a green office audit established by Strategic Sustainability Consulting; the methodology is clear and standardized; included is an office audit and a carbon footprint analysis. This methodology utilizes employee online surveys, a building survey, an on-site survey, and several resources to establish the current office’s environmental footprint and therefore, the ability for the company to reduce their environmental impact and learn how to be more efficient.
